When to see a doctor or a psychologist
- Anxiety, low mood or poor sleep are there most days for several weeks and get in the way of work, study or relationships.
- You have started avoiding places, people or activities because of fear.
- Physical sensations are new, strong or unusual — see a doctor first to rule out other causes.
- You rely more and more on alcohol or other substances to cope.
- Thoughts that life is not worth living, or of harming yourself, appear — get help today.
Finding support
Your GP or family doctor can assess how you are and refer you on. In Ukraine, the national programme “Ty yak?” (howareu.com) has self-help materials and a directory of professionals.
What Resteady can and cannot do
The SOS screen and the tools help you get through a hard moment and practise skills. They do not replace talking to a person and are not designed for a crisis.
